On the 28th July 2010 the Rome City Council gave its approval, in accordance with Article 14, Paragraph 16, Letter e), of the Decree Law No.78 dated 2010, as converted by Law No. 122 dated 2010, to the introduction of an overnight accommodation tax on tourist services in the city (Municipal Council Resolution No. 67 dated 28th/29th July 2010).

The fee is set to be applied as of 1st January 2011 and will be asked of anyone staying in every overnight accommodation inside Rome’s boundaries, with the sole of exception of hostels, at the end of each stay.

Please note that the fee is also asked of anyone who has booked or paid for the trip through a travel agency or tour operator and should be paid directly to the property at the reception desk.

Children under the age of 10 years are exempt from payment. Details of Fee: B&B 2 Euros per person per night max 10 days
